Central Insurance Associates (CIA), a full-service property and casualty agency, was co-founded by Debra Burton of Ossipee and Maryellen Brown of Tamworth in 1993, located at 2328 Route 16, Tramway Marketplace, West Ossipee. Debby and Maryellen had been co-workers at a local insurance agency. The decision was made that by founding their own agency they could utilize their expertise to offer their clients more personalized insurance services.

In January 2008, Maryellen Brown retired and sold her share of the business ownership to Sarah Anderson of Wolfeboro. Sarah’s insurance career began in 1978 at a family agency in Pembroke, MA. The last 18 years of her career were spent at Knapp, Schenck Insurance Services, a large commercial agency in Boston, MA. Sarah has merged her 33 years of insurance experience with Debby’s 39 years. The agency’s original goal of friendly, professional, and personalized insurance service is a proud accomplishment.

CIA is an independent insurance agency representing many companies and has the ability to place coverage with a myriad of excess, surplus, and brokerage markets for both personal and commercial risks.
